The
display was unable to be validated at Coningsby due to a malfunction
of the nozzle rotation mechanism, causing the display to be abandoned
and an emergency landing swiftly made. It will probably now be concluded
at Wittering.
|
Derek
is a dual-qualified QFI/QWI with the Training Flight on 41(F), and
only the second such dual-qualified instructor in the Jaguar fleet's
history.
This may be the last full year for a Jaguar on the display circuit,
as the force will be reduced to a single squadron in early 2006.
Hopefully the top brass will see sense and commission another display
pilot for a further year.
|
Dave
will be sharing Hawk duties with Flt Lt Chris Docherty from 4 FTS
at Valley, who has a striking new paint scheme for his particular
Hawk.

for the display team Gaz is to remain operational with 43(F) Squadron

accrued over 2,000 flying hours, of which, over 1,300 hours are
on the Tornado F3.
