Successor to the mighty Phantom, the much maligned Tornado ADV isn't really as bad as it has been painted, but you'll never make a fighter out of a bomber. It excels in what it was designed to do, i.e. loiter for hours on patrol and engage the enemy beyond visual range, but times have changed and an all-round capable fighter is needed, why the F3 will be replaced by Typhoon sooner rather than later. It may not have the charisma of the Lightning or the character of the Phantom, but I bet we'll still look back in twenty years and say "Now there was a proper aeroplane!"
