28 August 2005 - Mildenhall

From Russia with love - B-1B 86-0129 is seen departing Mildenhall after a stop-over en-route back to the USA after participating in MAKS 2005, the trade airshow at Zhukovsky in Russia. It should have been in company with 86-0060, but the latter went 'tech' just prior to departure from Moscow, so should be expected sometime in the near future. 86-0129 departed with accompanying tanker KC-10A 40186. 25 August 2005 - Nottinghamshire

Unidentified helicopter seen labouring heavily around the skies of Nottingham today with a huge Qantas 'Sale now on' advertising banner in tow. Hopefully a sign of things to follow in the fourth N-Power Test Match that is underway at Trent Bridge over the next five days. Come on England! Just what Qantas is selling isn't clear - second-hand 747s? Dead kangaroos peeled off the undercarriage? Picture courtesy Howard Heeley

17 August 2005 - Lakenheath

The turn of the Spangdahlem Wing to arrive for Exercise 'Excalibur' - four A-10s and eight F-16s from the 52nd FW. We make no apologies for concentrating on the Warthogs! For a complete log see Rumour Control. Pictures courtesy Damien Burke and Gary Stedman

16 August 2005 - Lakenheath

Arriving for Exercise 'Excalibur' were six F-16s from the 31st FW, based at Aviano in Italy. The exercise runs from 17 - 19 August and will also involve units from the 48th and 52nd FWs. Pictures courtesy Matthew Clements

9 August 2005 - Marham

Seen flying missions was 31 Squadron's 90th anniversary jet ZA564. The squadron will celebrate its anniversary over the weekend of 24/25 September, sadly behind closed doors with no enthusiast photocall planned (boo!). Picture courtesy Peter Lenney

4 August 2005 - Lakenheath

The 52nd FW at Spangdahlem AFB, Germany deployed five 23rd FS F-16s to RAF Lakenheath on Monday 1 August for a week's flying with the resident F-15Cs of the 493rd FS. They are expected back on 16 August for Exercise 'Excalibur'. Pictures courtesy James Shelbourn

4 August 2005 - Mildenhall

Arriving for a two-week stay were two B-1B Lancers from the 7th BW, based at Dyess AFB, USA. It is believed that one of the 'Bones' will perform a flypast at the Eastbourne Airshow as well as the Valley Photocall. Picture courtesy Matthew Clements
